Summary: Sara Gross & Alyssa Godesky talk to super-swimmer Haley Chura who recently won Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires after a year’s hiatus from the sport she loves. In 2015, three weeks before toeing the start line as a professional at the World Championships, Haley was hit by a car during a training ride. Haley shares her ongoing fears of being out on the road and how she is overcoming them. Before wading into the world of triathlon, Haley won a National Championship with the University of Georgia Women's Swim Team and competed in the US Olympic Trials in both 2004 and 2008. In 2013, Haley gave up her job with a thriving accounting firm to go all-in with triathlon as a professional. In her first year as a pro, she won her first 70.3 title in New Orleans. In 2014, Haley won her first Ironman title by over 30 minutes at Ironman Brasil Fortaleza. Sara and Alyssa also discuss the recent launch of Super League Triathlon (sans women) and why the pro start lists are stacked at this stage in the season.
