Summary: Three years ago, The Dave Douglas Quintet and The Westerlies were co-billed on an Earshot Jazz Festival concert and the two groups combined to provide an exciting finale to an already memorable concert. Inspired by that event, Dave Douglas composed a series of pieces for his trumpet and The Westerlies for a tour which concluded with a return to Seattle to play at The Earshot Festival 2016.
