Summary: No matter how far or how fast we run from God, we cannot outpace Him. He pursues us because He loves us and doesn't want us to remain on a path of self-destruction. Over a period of 30 years, from Daniel 2-4, God pursues king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon until Nebuchadnezzar has nowhere else to look but up! The end of Daniel 4 is Nebuchadnezzar's final testimony of how he eventually and completely surrendered to God as King. His story is our story. God will pursue us until we finally recognize His rightful place as King in our lives! Hopefully it won't take 30 years for us like it did Nebuchadnezzar, but God loves us enough never to allow us to remain as we are.
