Episode 100: Updates from Our Favorite Guests

Extraordinary Moms Podcast show

Summary: You guys... I've done 1-0-0 episodes!!! What?!?!? How did that happen? When I launched last January, I seriously thought only my mom and closest friends would listen, and that would have been fine. But I feel so honored that you have followed along as I have figured out how to host a podcast. There have been so many interviews over the past year that have really made me think and see things differently. No matter whether I can truly relate to their story or not, I find that the lessons they share from their own experiences are truly universal. In honor of the 100th episode, I wanted to bring back a couple of guests that were well loved by you guys! It was hard to pick just a couple, but I'm excited to give you an update from some of our past guests. First up, Danielle Stepp, an Extraordinary Mom of the Month Award winner. Danielle and I had never met before, but I'm so thankful to call her my friend now. Her battle with breast cancer was truly heroic and between her optimism and her country twang, what's not to love about Danielle. Let's see how she's doing since we last chatted. Oh, and if you want to learn more about her journey, she's put it all into a blog that you can find HERE. Next up is Jessica Gee (episode 23), of the Bucket List Family. The last time we chatted they were a few months into their world travels with their two little ones, and now it's been a year! She and I will chat about where they've been, favorite memories, humanitarian service, and what's next for their family. She's always such a delight to talk with. Enjoy this update. And for even more on their family you can follow them on Instagram or watch their amazing weekly videos on YouTube. The last time I spoke with Christina Smallwood (episode 62), she was months away from her daughter Finley receiving a life changing surgery for her Cerebral Palsy. Well, Finley had the surgery and they are back home recovering. Today, Christina will share how the operation went and what the future looks like for her sweet girl. And as always, she's great about posting darling matching photos of her with Finley on her Instagram or on her website. She also mentions how the book, "Uninvited," really impacted her. Remember how the last time I spoke with Heather Avis (episode 21) she said she has a book coming out in the spring of '17? Well, that very book, "The Lucky Few", is now available for pre-order and I'm so excited to talk with her about it today. I also get caught up on how Macy, Truly, and August are all doing. And if you don't already, do yourself a favor and follow her on Instagram because her kids' dance moves are unbeatable!
