Summary: Life Stands Before Me. That's the last line of the chorus to my new single "February (Our Last Kiss)" with Abigail, the voice of "Let the Joy Rise" and countless other anthems you love. When we wrote that line, we really liked the idea that it could mean different things to different people. If you're really sad, and have recently found yourself heartbroken, then life seems like this big mountain that you'll never be able to climb, no matter how hard you try. Or if you are finally getting over someone, the "Life Stands Before Me" line could mean that you have your whole life ahead of you, and the best moments are yet to come. I think that's why I love music so much. A hundred people can hear one song, and it can move them a hundred different ways. But we're all united by it just the same. Life can be pretty beautiful.
