Summary: YOUR SITUATION IS AN INVITATION – PROPHETIC PRAYER Today, in a replay of a teaching Kim gave on July 9, 2014, he teaches about prophetic prayer and the necessity of praying according to the prophetic words we have received. I Timothy 1:18 says, “This command I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.” What has God promised us? We must hold fast to that and pray accordingly. Kim gives the example of how God spoke to him that he would go to many specific countries. One day, he was on an extremely dangerous airplane flight and it looked like they were going to go down. He began to call out the names of the countries he was called to visit, reminding God of His promise to him. He gives another example of when Peter is thrown in prison after Herod kills James, the brother of John. He is warned by Herod that he is going to be killed, too, after the Passover. However, Jesus had spoken a word over him – “when you are old . . .” Peter knew he was destined to live to be an old man and wasn’t worried. When an angel came to set him free, he was sleeping so soundly the angel had to strike him to wake him up. Hosea 12:13 says, “By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet, Israel was preserved.” Our own prophetic prayers will offer preservation for us, too. We wage war according to what God has said and the words He’s given us. Prophetic prayer is not only scriptural, but a necessity to obtain the promises of God given to us. It is a form of spiritual warfare and will change our life as we incorporate it. Our situation is an invitation for the Word of God to become effective and change our circumstance.
