She serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, serving as VP of Board Development for Girls Inc. of Orange County, whose mission is to help under-served girls become strong, smart and bold. She also serves VP of Finance and on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Human Options; an organization committed to restoring hope and rebuilding the lives of battered women and their children and in 2014 Scharrell joined the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.
