Summary: This year (2015) marks the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Exposition held in Balboa Park in San Diego. On this edition of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, Smitty and Mike are joined by local historian and collector Mike Bryant, who shares with us the story of how the exposition came to be a century ago, and we look at the enduring legacy that is Balboa Park, one of San Diego's most popular tourist places. The reclamation of land and construction for the exposition in what was then called simply "City Park", is a story of vision and of San Diego taking its place in the sun as the 20th century unfolded.
