Summary: Our show today will address the need for and types of clinical supervision. Thomas Durham, PhD is the Executive Director of The Danya Institute East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) in Silver Spring, MD. He also manages the Clinical Preceptorship Program, a system-wide network of clinical supervision for alcohol and drug counselors throughout the U.S. Navy. In addition, Tom is an assistant professor at Northcentral University where he teaches graduate level courses in alcohol Thomas Durham, PhD is the Executive Director of The Danya Institute and Project Director of the Central and drug counseling. Tom has written several workbooks, training guides, and on-line courses for addiction treatment professionals, including NAADAC’s independent study course for clinical supervisors. Tom is also on the advisory board of Addiction Professional magazine where he occasionally contributes articles on clinical supervision.
