Summary: Robert (Bob) Schmalzbach recently served on the Board of Directors for Searching for Bigfoot Inc.,in the positions of Vice President& Secretary.Bob is a 61 year old business man& entrepreneur now living in Northern California. Bob recently retired from a twenty plus year career in the High Tech field where he worked as an Equipment Engineering Manager for companies as diverse as;AT&T(Bell Labs-Technology Division), Honeywell,&Integrated Device Technology.Bob was a member of the Technical Advisory Board for De Anza College,he was also the founder & first President of the Happy Camp Fire Safe Council,the President of the Happy Camp Chamber of Commerce,& he served as a founding member of the Siskiyou County Fire Safe Council. Bob,along with his wife Vickie, worked as Co-Chairman of an ad hoc committee to write the bill that got Public Law 94-142, Education of All Handicapped Children Act passed into law in 1975,&to this day remains very active in working with “special people”through out his community. Since retiring, he has spent the past six plus years on the road investigating sightings of the creature commonly known as “Bigfoot”.In his travels,he has become acquainted with many of the field investigators in all fields of the “fringe Sciences” including the paranormal,UFOs,& Cryptozoology.
