Don't forget to stop by HindiPod101.com for more great Hindi Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- अजंता और एलोरा ऐसा माना जाता है की गुफाओं का चलन सबसे पहले मनुष्य द्वारा प्राकृतिक आश्रय के लिए प्रयोग किया गया था। इसलिए इन गुफाओं की सुंदरता व रहस्य पर्यटकों का ध्यान आकर्षित कर लेती हैं। एक ऐसी ही गुफा 'अजंता और एलोरा' हरियाली की चादर ओढे, चट्टानों मे अपने इतिहास का रहस्य छिपाए भारत के प्रांगण मे बसी है।यह गुफाएँ आठवी सदी का एक नमूना है। इन्हे गुफाएँ इसलिए कहते हैं क्योकि ये बड़ी बड़ी चट्टानों को काट कर बनाई गयी हैं। यह पवित्र गुफाएँ प्राकृतिक देन नही हैं अपितु मानव निर्मित देन हैं। 34 गुफाएँ एल्लोरा मे और 29 गुफाएँ अजंता मे मौजूद हैं। यह गुफाएँ घने जंगल से घिरी हुई हैं। चारो तरफ़ फैली हरियाली, विशालकाय चट्टाने, सुंदर मूर्तियाँ और पहाड़ी पर बहती वाघूर धारा इसकी सुंदरता में चार चाँद लगा देती हैं। अश्व की नाल के आकार मे बनी यह गुफाएँ पौराणिक एवं ऐतिहासिक अनमोल समय को दर्शाती हैं। जिसमे कई चट्टानों को काट कर गुफाएँ, मठ एवं स्तूप बनाए गये थे। इसके बनावट मे ही इसकी विशेषता है। यह टीले के प्रारंभ से ही हतोड़े की सहायता से खोद कर तराशी गयी है। यहाँ की गुफाओं में की गई नायाब शिल्पकला एवं चित्रकला देशी-विदेशी पर्यटकों की पहली पसंद है। यह गुफाएँ धार्मिक एवं प्राचीनता की अनूठी मिसाल हैं। जैन, बौद्ध, और हिंदू धर्मो का त्रिवेणी संगम एल्लोरा की गुफाओं में उपस्थित है परंतु अजंता की गुफाओं मे सिर्फ़ बौद्ध धर्म को दर्शाया है। गुफाओं की दीवारो पर भगवान बुद्ध पर आधारित यह तस्वीरे उनके जीवन की घटनाओं का चित्रण करती हैं। इनमे एक शांति झलकती है जो आज भी हमे दैवीय शक्ति, उर्जा व एकता का संदेश देती है। इसे बनने मे हज़ारो वर्ष लग गये। बुद्ध इन गुफाओं मे रहते थे और चिन्तन करते थे। इन गुफाओं में बुद्ध को शांत और पवित्रता मुद्रा मे दर्शाया है। बौद्ध चित्रों को प्राकृतिक खनिजों से बनाया गया है, जो आज भी अपने आप मे अप्रतिम सुंदरता को समेटे हुए है। ----Formal English---- It is believed that caves were first used by humans for natural shelter so the beauty and mystery of these caves influence the attention of many tourists. Following on from this, similar caves, Ajanta and Ellora, are surrounded by greenery, hiding their mysterious history in the rocks, situated on the forecourt of India. These caves are from the eighth century. They are called caves because they were made by cutting the cliffs. These sacred caves are not natural and are a man-made creation. Presently, there are thirty-four caves in the Ajanta Caves and twenty-nine in the Ellora Caves. These caves are surrounded by dense forest. All around are greenery, stupendous rocks, beautiful statues, and the flowing of Wagoor Stream in the hills, which adds more beauty to these caves. The structures of the caves look like a horseshoe which shows the legendary and historical precious time in which many cliffs were cut out and made into caves, monasteries, and stupas. Their speciality is in their making. They were hammered and chiselled from the beginning at the top of the cliff. The unique sculptures and paintings in these caves are the first choice of domestic and foreign tourists. These caves are a unique illustration of religion and antiquity. The confluence of Jain, Buddhist, and Hindu religions is present in the Ellora Caves but only Buddhism is shown in the Ajanta Caves. The pictures, which are based on the Lord Buddha, on the walls of the caves depict incidents in his life. In them, a peace is reflected which even today gives a message of deific power, energy, and unity. It took thousands of years to make them. Buddhists lived in these caves and meditated. Buddhism is shown in the calm and sanctified position in these caves.
