Summary: Paul Harvey was wrong. The lights are on in Fort Dodge. This comes from my vault and features the full presentation of the "All America City " Awards by the Fort Dodge delegation in 2001. It's a story of our town; how the city came back from losing 2,000 jobs in the 1980's, how it fought back during an FTC ruling that would have closed a major employer in the 1990's, and how the city is addressing many social problems and challenges with civic cooperation, leadership, and volunteers.
