Fluffy Fibers show

Summary: Sharing the creations that have kept me together these past few weeks... Both in video and audio this time! And with a little tea swap that is sure to brighten the weeks to come.Episode recorded on January 21, 2015. You can watch the video here.I am FluffyFibers on Ravelry and the podcast has a Ravelry group. Kristin , Maria and Dani have inspired me to do a video episode. The video/audio gets slightly out of sync after a while. I tried for a long time to fix it, with no success. Next time will be better I promise!TEA SWAP announcement! Brilliantly imagined and organized by knittinluv on Ravelry. All the details have been posted in the Ravelry group.1. A BIT OF SEWING I am wearing Newlook 6615, which I made in 2005. I mention the Clothkit Dress (and matching skirt for me) that I made in 2013, and the aprons that I made last year. I just cut out Simplicity 2946  out of a floral corduroy to make Birthday Dresses for my daughter and her doll. The pattern was sent to me by Helen. 2. A BIT OF KNITTING  2.a Finished Cardigan out of my handspun for SPAKAL: Metro by Connie Chang Chinchio. Woolful and KnitBritish are podcasts (and websites) that emphasise the reasons why we should be more mindful of our fibre choices. I mention my daughter's Manteau de Lutin. 2.b In Progress - Legwarmers out of Adriafil Knitcol in the Beethoveen (62) colourway. - Lenny by Heidi Atwood-Reeves for my daughter, out of Countess Ablaze BFL Aran in Radioactive Raspberry. 2.c Future Projects - Cardigan for both me and my daughter, out of the Surnaturelle yarn that I got from La Droguerie for Christmas. My cardigan is going to be Alecia Beth by Justyna Lorkowska. - socks for Seb out of Online Supersocke 4-fach, in the shade 1530. - socks for me out of Adriafil Knitcol (and I meant the Boccioni colourway, #66, not Boccaccio as I say in the podcast!). 3. A BIT OF SPINNING  - I plied the merino braid from Countess Ablaze in Northern Lights. - Currently spinning a Juno Fibre Arts braid named Wishing Tree: 70% BFL- 30% Sparkle. I'm going to knit it into a Stretcher Quaker Boomerang by Susan Ashcroft, which was gifted to me by a VERY lovely listener. :) Spinning Acquisitions: I purchased rolags and batts from Sara's Texture Crafts, which are gorgeous - Malachite marl batts, Sea Foam Shantung batts, and Oslo rolags. I forgot to mention that Sara very kindly added several tape measures (both in inches and centimetres) as a gift, knowing how much I enjoy sewing! Credits: Music: Piano Sonata in E-flat Major, mvt. 3 by Joseph Haydn, played by Mario Ajero.
