I'm giving you some feedback based on, I believe episode 80 were you talked about information on having your spouse learn firearms. We tried going to the range with my wife and her brother, which we feel fairly comfortable in teaching the basics of firearm safety however the best thing that I did was ask her for a present for me, which was for her to attend a class, women's only class from an instructor that I trust and I did not attend that class obviously. This worked out so well that somebody else, not her husband, is teaching her about firearms and firearm safety. She came home with whole new ideas, excitement, eager to learn and that's definitely something that I could not impart on her. Another thing I have attended a couple classes so that she and many women in the class that were there with revolvers ended up switching to semi autos mostly based on a reloading issues. So another mistake that I made was to purchase a revolver for my wife with my wife but unfortunately we really should have had some instructions first she prefers it's semi auto over the revolver. So I kind of wasted that first purchase. Having her pick out the gun is a plus. Keep up the great work Nick in Indiana Hi, I have been listening for over a year or so and I appreciate your down to earth manner of presenting topics. I also had a question to ask. My wife is from Upstate New York and really does not want anything to do with firearms. We live in Houston, TX and I have had my CHL since 2012. We have three daughters and want my wife and children to be safe in when I am not around. I have taken her to the indoor range a couple of times but she simply will not follow the Four Rules. I have several handguns of all sizes and she does not seem to like any of them. The last time we went to the range she actually shot through the cable that targets travel on in her lane and I thought the owner was going to have a fit. Any ideas on how I can impress upon her how important it is for her to get her own carry permit and then practice until becomes proficient?
