Former DU Vice Chancellor Accused of Plagiarism: Does India Need Stricter Ethics Body?

Summary: Former vice chancellor of Delhi University, Deepak Pental, arrested today on the basis of a complaint that he had plagiarised a paper on biotechnology and passed it off as his own. While that may be the case, this is not the first time that charges of plagiarism have been made at the highest levels against professors in the university, or indeed elsewhere too.
