We Look Back 70 Years to D-Day

The Baby Boomer Radio, TV, Movies, Magazines, Music, Comics, Fads, Toys, Fun, and More Show! show

Summary: Mike, Smitty, and George visit Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California. On this program, recorded between Memorial Day and the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the Galaxy Guys reflect upon the meaning of visiting a National Cemetery, and upon the sacrifices those men and women made in the line of service, whether they laid their lives down on the field of battle, or were able to come home and live full lives afterward. The serenity of a memorial park is contrasted with the grief of a battlefield. George shares recollections told to him by his mother, father, and uncle, about the men and the great sacrifice of those who served in the D-Day landings. A most reflective and meaningful visit as we pay tribute to our fallen men and women who sacrificed for our nation. We hope you will join us for this episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site.
