It's made by a company called FourSevens and it is their QP2L-X model. The name doesn't roll off the tongue very easily but it is very compact, perfectly fits my hand for use as a kubaton/breaker bar, and it will put out up to 780 lumens or as low as 0.3 lumens which is awesome for use at night without loosing too much "night vision." It will run 600 hours on that lowest setting and 1.8 hours on full blast. It runs on CR123 batteries as well. Anyway, I\'m not getting paid by foursevens, but I LOVE my flashlight. All aluminum, completely waterproof etc. Also, I can't help you with your CCW permit, but I have to say that if you're in the market for a real quality leather wallet you can NOT do any better than Saddleback Leather. They make a simple wallet that is just a sleeve. I have one of these and typically carry my DL, CCW permit, and one credit card. It will stretch to hold up to 12 cards they say, but I use it for when I don\'t need much with me. It fits in a shirt pocket and you'll forget about it. If you want more capacity check out their "front pocket wallet." I plan on getting one of these soon. This one might hold your CCW permit if it is about the size of a dollar bill folded in half. I know that a bill folded in half will fit in the cash compartment. Maybe it's not for you, but they make great products and the quality can not be beaten for the price.
