Summary: Paddy O’Connell has taken over the One to One interviewer’s microphone to explore a subject which reflects his own experience: the effect of great emotional upheaval on family life. Paddy lost his father when he was 11, and he was raised by his mother, a widow. In this programme he meets Chantal, a widow who was left to bring up three children when her husband died suddenly in 1995.
