Summary: Today’s show will center on Family Recovery from Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders. Kim T. Mueser, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Community and Family Medicine at the Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1984 and was on the faculty of the Psychiatry Department at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia until 1994. He is the co-author of several other books, including Behavioral Family Therapy for Psychiatric Disorders, Second Edition (1999), Shirley M. Glynn, received her PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1985. Dr, Glynn joined Reseach Service at West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she has been involved in evaluating the benefits of behavioral family therapy for veterans.
