Summary: Recovery happens on many levels, learning to cope with stress is vital for mental health and sobriety. Yoga, Reiki and other Eastern techniques are tools that are effective and contribute to a robust life. Please join us for a discussion with Tom Sherman to learn about his experience in using the ancient arts and recovery. Tom became a Yoga teacher in 1987 and now instructs 800 yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and Chi Kung classes and workshops each year to a variety of groups. These include the elderly, children, people with stress-related conditions and chronic pain, adults and children with mental disorders and numerous stress management programs. He is the founder and director of the Bija Ananda Yoga Teacher training program which he has directed since 1995. He is certified through the Universal Healing Tao to teach Chi Kung (Chinese Yoga) , Tai Chi and Taoist Yoga Meditations and is a Reiki Practitioner
