Summary: Red River Writers is honored to welcome Jane Paley to the show. Jane Paley has enjoyed a career as a writer and independent documentaryproducer.Hooper Finds a Family, A Hurricane Katrina Dog's Survival Tale,(HarperCollins Publishers, June 2011) is her first book, book written forchildren ages 8-12 (grades 3-7) and available in advance of the sixthanniversary of hurricane Katrina.She was the director of community relations for ABC Television, and her ABCNotebook educational programs were awarded an Emmy and aNationalEducationAssociation Award.As a partner in Paley-Price Productions, she wrote and producedfamily-oriented programs for HBO (she was co-creator of two HBO Familynetwork children's series), PBS, and Lucasfilm, among others. Paley is an assistant professor in the Division of Mass Communication at St.John's University in Queens, New York.She and Hooper are active participants in animal-related services, includingabs4rescue, the organization that brought them together.Paley and her family live in Easton, CT. and New York City. Along with Jane Paley author David McDonald the author of the Rewirers and Marion L. Thomas the author of Color Me Jazzmyne and My Father's Colors. This is going to be a great show with all three outstanding authors.
