The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 134 – Committee of Running Backs

Inside the Jungle | SPNT.tv Network | Cincinnati | Nick Seuberling | UNOFFICIAL Bengals Podcast show

Summary: There has been a lot of talk over the past few weeks about some potential free agent running backs that will be on the market. We can all dream right? The two running backs for the Bengals in 2013 had an OK season. The Lawfirm and Giovani Bernard combined for 1,451 yards in 2013 but the sense amongst Bengals fans is that the running game struggled for most of the year. Should the Bengals look to upgrade this position in 2014? Are you comfortable with giving more of the workload to Bernard? Should the Bengals look to the draft for a bruiser like Carlos Hyde or a speed demon like De'Anthony Thomas? In this week's show: We start by taking a look at the year that was for the Bengals running backs in 2013. Did you know Benjarvus Green-Ellis actually increased his TD total from 2012? He rushed the ball nearly 300 yards less on 50 less carries though. Fatal Content, one of the biggest fans of the show, calls in with his Question of the Night: "Do you guys think that in your heart of hearts Margus Hunt can rightfully replace Michael Johnson? And if he went to another team and tore it up would you guys then regret not re-signing him?" What are your thoughts? Comment below! What is the role and future of Rex Burkhead? We got an email from Mike Smith, one of our podcast fans from across the pond asking about the NFL putting a franchise in London. We wrapped the episode with a phone call from Kurt talking about some of the big name free agents on the market and a few of the running backs in this year's draft class.
