FridayFix: The “Captain Spaulding”

Scott Sigler Audiobooks show

Summary: Author Mur Lafferty has a new book out in March, called THE GHOST TRAIN TO NEW ORLEANS. It's a sequel to her Campbell Award-winning novel THE SHAMBLING GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY, a paranormal tale about a plucky heroine who winds up writing travel guides for the undead. http://media.blubrry.com/scottsigler/media.libsyn.com/scottsigler/01_How_to_make_the_perfect__Captain_Spaulding_.mp3.mp3 Mur was recently on Twitter talking about a fictional drink in the book called a "Captain Spaulding." This drink contains gin and demon blood. Blargh. She wondered how that might translate to the real world (assuming you don't have a demon in your basement, like I do, cause I'm pimp like that, and, yes, mine wears a gimp suit). She even started a contest where you could come up with your own drink recipe for the Spaulding. While I recuse myself from this contest, I could not let this opportunity pass me by. Hence, this FridayFix focuses on my interpretation of the Captain Spaulding. Enjoy! Don't see a "play" button above? Click here to download.
