The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 130 – 25 Years is a Long Time

Inside the Jungle | SPNT.tv Network | Cincinnati | Nick Seuberling | UNOFFICIAL Bengals Podcast show

Summary: Do you remember where you were January 22, 1989? I sure do. I was 2nd grader in Cincinnati, OH watching Joe Montana drive down the field in Super Bowl XXIII. The mental images of John Taylor catching the slant pass in the endzone still hurt. I can't believe it's been 25 years. In those 25 years since the Bengals played in the Super Bowl the have just 6 postseason appearances. The 90's were a very rough decade for this franchise to say the least. I'm still having a hard time grasping the 25 years. My children aren't too far from the age I was when they last played in the Super Bowl. The good news is that this current Bengals team is a lot closer to the 88 Bengals than we give them credit for. Yes we know there are issues with this roster, but they aren't THAT far off. Let's hope another solid offseason can keep this window of opportunity open for just a while longer. In this week's show: This week we lead off the show welcoming in our old friend and one of the originals here on the podcast, Mr. Timm Bates. We look back at the 25 years and share our memories of that awful night in Miami where the 49ers knocked off our Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII. Marvin Lewis says today that the Bengals are rebooting the reboot. Anthony fills us in on his trip to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in sunny Los Angeles. Last but not least we talk a little bit about the draft and whether or not AJ McCarron is making the right choice skipping the Senior Bowl.
