124 – Shane Snow: Start-up Web Entrepreneur, Co-Founder of “Contently”; Technology Journalist

Summary: Shane Snow is a New York City-based technology journalist and web entrepreneur, currently Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Contently. Originally from Idaho, he holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. A member of Sandbox Network and the Royal Society Of The Arts, Shane writes for WIRED Magazine and Fast Company, and has designed infogaphics for MTV, Gizmodo, and The United Nations. Shane understands the importance of leadership and how critical it becomes for entrepreneurial start-ups or entrepreneurial journeys. I love how Shane's unconventional ways and how he learned early on that the truly great leadership/entrepreneurs do so because they are motivated by the desire to help other people. As Shane puts it: "The greatest leaders are the ones everyone wants to follow, and those are the ones who care about others more than self, who lead with a higher purpose." Simply put, Shane believes we should all  strive to be the kind of leader you would follow yourself. (Much easier said than done!)
