Summary: Back in the day they used to have shotgun weddings. Daughter gets pregnant and the father shows up with the shotgun and forces the baby's father to marry his pregnant daughter. But in the new day, those actions have been long forgotten. In most cases the birth of a child doesn't even guarantee that the couple will even remain cordial to one another let alone marriage.
