Our 2/5 Podcast Is Up With a Tribute to Lux Interior - Revenge of the 80s Radio – Hour 2

Revenge of the 80s Radio - Hour 2 show

Summary: (http://www.inquisitr.com/wp-content/lux-interior.jpg) The podcast for our 2/5/10 Revenge of the 80s Radio show is up and available at the end of this post. This week, we pay tribute to Lux Interior a year after his passing with a block of music by The Cramps (http://www.thecramps.com/). We also played new music from Adriana Kaegi (http://adrianakaegi.com/). Lux Interior and wife/musical partner Poison Ivy Rorschach founded The Cramps on 1976 and created a sound that was to become the Psychobilly (http://www.wreckingpit.com/index.php3) musical genre. Interior's somewhat eerie vocal style and stage presence made him one of the faces of the New York punk scene. Their signature twang solidifies Poison Ivy's place among the industry's greatest guitarists. The Cramps' impact on music history may be immeasurable and their influence will continue on with many alternative musicians today and in the future. Fans will continue to miss The Cramps and hearing Interior's voice, as there may never be another band like them.
