Practical Tactical show

Summary: Intro Sponsors TACFinder Safe to Carry   Topic: Competition Shooting How does it play into your training plan Good Bad Some say it is bad (naysayers) Competiton fosters bad habits I personally believe it is a valuable component to your training regimen and has its place...but it is JUST A GAME. Competition is not training but rather shooting exercises in sequence/ a game with guns Better than the average static/flat range time USPSA IDPA IPSC STEEL CHALLENGE SASS Goal of most of the games is to get good hits rapidly for a good score Bad hits = add time = loose points No shoot = add time = loose points Procedural error/ rule error = add time = loose points Higher time = lower score/ lower in the overall standings Probably wouldn't, but may,  handle real world tactical problem as I would in a game Getting shot at changes the dynamic of the situation...significantly Cant replicate the real world on a static range Shoot or move as fast in real life as in a game? Maybe/ maybe not situation depends         The Practical Tactical Podcast and Blog are presented free of charge.
