Flea Market Finds-Episode 40 (feat. Pancho Pescador)

FleaMarketFinds' Podcast show

Summary: Pancho is a well known visual artist, muralist, photographer, political activist and teacher in the Latino Bay Area community, but we invited him to this particular 40th show mainly because he's Chilean and he lived in Chile during the times of Pinochet. This show was recorded on the night of September 11th 2013, and we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Coup D'état that removed Allende and put Pinochet in power in Chile. Besides talking politics, as expected, we drank a lot of Mexican beer and we ended up chatting about random stuff, as usual. Some of the topics covered in this spanglish-spoken episode include: the Occupy movement, magic mushrooms, Star Wars music, Latin American bureaucracy, sex education classes in the Mexican consulate, the use of culo vs. pompis, life as an exile, the Chilean student protests, a Mexican chick who flashed her chichis at a concert and things went berserk (no, it wasn't Eva), religious rituals and pee-drinking and plenty more nonsense. The playlist includes exclusively Chilean music by artists like Makiza, Ana Tijoux, Tunacola, Astro, La Cumbia de Patricio Cobarde and RVSB.
