Summary: Dogs were originally bred by us to do specific things and today those traits are still present even though they may not be needed to do the jobs they were bred for. We crafted dogs through selective breeding to work for us and it worked out really well. Whatever traits we wanted we got in a number of generations of breeding for those characteristics.
