Summary: December 7, 2011 marks the 70th anniversary of the attack of Pearl Harbor. On this edition of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, we commemorate that anniversary, briefly recounting the events leading up to Japan's attack on that Sunday morning in 1941. How that attack was reported by radio, and what the impact was across the country. The nation mobilized as it entered World War II. Mike talks about the blackouts that happened on the West Coast, and Smitty has a couple of examples of radio news reports from that day. We remember the lives lost and the sacrifices made by all of those who fought and worked through the Second World War to win eventual victory.
