Summary: Monique S. Moy is professionally known in the entertainment industry as “MoUnique”. Monique was born and spent the majority of her formative years in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While residing in Philadelphia, Monique began singing publicly when she was four (4) years old. At the tender age of four, Monique’s amazing gift of singing was universally recognized. In recognizing her musical talents, the parents of Monique encouraged and actively participated in the development of her musical talent. In 2000, Monique had the great fortune of meeting and befriending the musical artist, “A.K.” of the group, “Do or Die”. The group requested Monique to audition for them and she consented. Based on the unanimous approval of her audition, “Do or Die” requested Monique to perform on their hit record, “Can You Make it Hot”, which appeared on the group’s mega hit album, “Victory”. The sixteen (16) measures Monique performed on, “Can You Make it Hot”, provided the foundation for her entre' into the internationally popular Hip Hop and Rap genres of music. Monique is deeply passionate, highly motivated, and acutely focused on her musical career. Musically, she is inspired by Ms. Janet Jackson, Jay Z, Mc Lyte, and the late great Tupac Shakur. In addition to working on her musical projects, Monique continues to be a prolific songwriter.
