Summary: Miguel Collins a.k.a. Sizzla Kalonji, a Bobo Ashanti dread Born 17.4.1976 in August Town/Kingston, Jamaica, made his first musical steps as a singer for Caveman Hi-Fi. His energetic singjay-style and spiritual lyrics earned him enthusiastic acclaim already with his 1995 debut album "Burning Up", while the 1997 follow-up "Black Woman & Child" was an international breakthrough, which brought Sizzla the 1998 MOBO award and magazines' top 100 albums of the year.Sizzla was part of the Phillip Burrel's XTerminator stable, touring with Luciano and the new roots&culture wave. Judgement Yard is like a home to many Rastafari youth, of which the majority wear turbans and trod the earth as battlefield warriors in Selassie Army in that I and I "burn" corruption and dirty livity. Many of these same youths who are members of Judgement Yard fraternity are musicians or have other direct affiliation with the music. As Sizzla Kalonji is a versatile pioneer within Reggae music, so are all of the battlefield warriors who compromise the body of the Judgement Yard organism, while Sizzla represents the head.
