Now, it's a name that will also be memorialized on the FDNY's "Wall of Honor," a place of honor for New York City firefighters who have died in the line of duty. Defending the Republic with Annie "The Radio Chick" and "Cool" Mike is an ongoing discussion of recent events, issues and the upcoming elections. Special Guest is Nicole Johnson Starr, founder of The PTSD Retreat http://ThePTSDRetreat.org The non-profit organization was founded Sept 2010. Mrs. Starr is a soldier with the Army National Guard & through her deployment overseas, as well as her family's long line of military service, she saw a need that deserved to be filled. What she likes most about what she does is knowing that a person who has suffered for decades can finally sleep; reconnect with their loved ones, & feel they can live again. She loves seeing children that have been traumatized, with repeat deployments, tell her they feel better, & hearing spouses say they see a difference & have part of their loved ones back. ?Now that fills me with joy!?
