CD Speak UP! with Cleo Lampos & Barbara Warren

Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! show

Summary: Cleo Lampos was born in Colorado, but grew up in Iowa and Wisconsin. She earned a Bachelors in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a Masters in Education from St. Xavier College-Chicago. After twenty-six years of teaching in regular and special education, Lampos retired from the classroom to her second career as a writer. The magazine articles she has published reflect her experiences as a teacher, mother, wife, gardening assistant to her husband, and avid biography/history buff. An interest in the orphan train led Cleo to attend an orphan train reunion and meet four former train riders. With her husband, she contributes to Share the Harvest, Children’s Hunger Fund, Pantry Kitchen, and Bibles for Missions Thrift Shop. Her goal is to write about "teachers and other everyday heroes." Lampos is represented by Diana Flegal of Hartline Literary Agency. Her book, Teaching Diamonds in the TOUGH, was published by Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas in 2012. Barbara Warren and her husband, Charles, live on a farm in the beautiful Ozarks where they raise beef cattle. Barbara has had short stories, articles, and devotions published in magazines such as Home Life, Mature Living, and Journey, and is a member of the writing pool for Open Windows, the Southern Baptist devotional magazine. Barbara’s mystery, The Gathering Storm was published by Jireh Publishing and was later brought out in e-book by Eddie Jones of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas. Her romantic suspense, Murder at The Painted Lady, was published in hardback by Avalon Books. It was then brought out in paperback by Amazon Publishing. She has taught in her church for several years. She is a former youth leader and enjoys working with young people of all ages. God and church are very important parts of her life.
