GNG 015 – Guns and Social Media

God & Guns Podcast show

Summary: Mike goes solo during this episode and gives his personal opinion, if that matters to anyone, on the message we send through social media.       God and Guns Podcast Episode 015 - Guns and Social Media     Intro: Welcome back to the God and Guns Podcast. My name’s Mike, your host. And Zack is not here, so I’m gonna keep you company this time around and hopefully you don’t fall asleep. Zack and I use this podcast to talk about God, guns, and the responsible Christian gun owners interests. Today I’ll do my best to keep your attention while I talk about the message we send through social media. This was a suggestion we had by our listener, David. And the bandwidth for this episode is brought to you by the Firearms Radio Network. Comedy Corner: -Chuck Norris once ate an entire bottle of sleeping pills. They made him blink. -There is no “ctrl” button on Chuck Norris’ computer. Chuck Norris is always in control.     Announce the Prepping show...... Our show will air May 16th. -Mention there really is a zombie in the bible. Listener Email: -Scott D: “Hi, great show! Thank you for blending 2 of my favorite topics. It is refreshing to hear someone defend the carry lifestyle from a christian perspective. Some of the topics hit home and remind us that we have to honor Christ above all else.” -Brandon: “I wanted to drop a quick note and say that y'all are doing a great job. The God and Guns podcast is refreshing to listen to on my commute to and from work. I really enjoy hearing from fellow Christians with a familiar viewpoint on religion, life, family and firearms. I did want to tell you about church carry in Texas. Not being able to carry a firearm in a place of worship in Texas is on the law books, BUT for a CHL holder it is a moot point unless the church is posted with the 30.06 sign (Texas' legal gun buster sign) I carry every Sunday and I am sure that hundreds (I go to a LARGE church in Dallas) of others do as well. Only a few trusted people in the church know I do and welcome it. I've been told that they feel safer knowing I am armed. I also wanted to tell you my prayer I say each day after I chamber check and holster my concealed firearm: Lord, let me never draw my firearm in fear, but if I do, let my aim and intent be true. Keep up the good work!   -John: ”I found you guys after listening to the GunDudes and love your format. It is refreshing to hear about the Lord and guns in the same program.” (My email to him was returned. Not sure if he meant Gun Guy Radio...)   Weekly Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV) Homework will start shortly after the prepping show....I hope...   (BUMPER)   Main Topic: Guns and Social Media Social Media and our message.
