Summary: One guest was Kathyrn Daynes, current president of the Mormon History Association. The other was Paul Reeve, a member of the MHA Board. Both teach history, Daynes at BYU and Reeve at the University of Utah. They are both award winning authors. Daynes has written a book, More Wives than One. Reeve's book is Making Space on the Western Frontier: Mormons,. Miners, and Southern Paiutes. We discussed the upcoming Mormon Historical Association Annual Conference including a number of the topics to be covered, the history of the MHA and how a typical Conference is conducted. Both guests commented on the difficulties of writing of historical papers and books. Daynes shared her perspective on a number of points and issues in Mormon practice of plural marriage in the 19th century.
