A lack of technical knowledge can actually be a bonus in this case, because your thought is not limited by what is or is not possible. So how does a business owner apply internet thinking to their own situation? Start from the industry that you are in, and think about what the fundamental drivers of value are. Question the assumptions that are currently being made in your industry. See if there is some way that you can change the cost base of your industry, often this is a case of a direct to consumer model which many industries are adopting.
