Summary: White Light 80 - Pocketknife "In the early 2000s NYC institution, Turntable Lab, coined a musical category called "HGSOB" which translated to "Hot Girl Singing Over Beats." This mix for White Light started to take shape under a category that I like to call "DWOB" or "Dude Weeping Over Beats." I guess one could argue that the history of modern music is a dude weeping over some type of beat.
