Summary: So many amazing heroes of the faith died young. Have you ever noticed that? Some lived into old age, but the pattern of many dying young is undeniable. But, wouldn't you rather live a short life that glorifies God, than a long boring life that accomplishes little? It's not how much time we're on Earth but what we do with the time that we're given that counts.Jesus did not live into old age. He lived on earth 33 years and altered the course of human history. And it was the same for many of His followers. Living a long full life is a blessing! But living fewer years can have even greater impact. It has often been said, "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church." Isn't this true? Their stories of courage and bravery inspire generations! They believe the words of Jesus, "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." God may not be calling you to an early death, but He may be calling you to "lay down your life" by re-ordering your priorities, or by more fully devoting yourself to Him. Learn from those who have given it all for Jesus Christ and share their stories as a way of reaching your world. God will use you powerfully.
