Summary: The Bible says in Romans, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind..." Do you think your neighbors can tell that you are different? If they were to read that Scripture in Romans, would they see you are capitulating or remaining faithful? Why is it that the church in many ways can become completely blended in with the surrounding culture? What are our defining characteristics? Is it okay to blend in? The Bible calls Christ followers to a radical life- a life that should cause you to stand out.If you are just the same as everyone else- why would anyone want what you have? The world is hurting. People are confused. They have real questions about death and life. Are you someone they would turn to for answers? Or do they see you as just as confused as them? You don't have to know everything - but you should be seen as someone who has met the all-knowing God!God has something much bigger for you than blending in. I once heard it said, "Stop trying to fit in when you were born to stand out." Keep these words in mind as you go about your day. Stand out and show the world what a life surrendered to Jesus looks like. Your example, followed by an explanation of who Jesus is, may lead many to the Lord.
