Summary: Reaching our world is a big job - one that we all can take part in on a daily basis. Our mission field, as followers of Christ, is everywhere. Wherever we are, there are people who need to know Him. At the coffee shop, in the grocery store, and at the office, there are lost people who need to hear the Good News. And, it's our responsibility to tell them. Paul explains in Galatians that "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Practicing the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - in our daily lives is essential to reaching those around us. In fact, Paul also tells us in Galatians that "The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Through love we reach out to others and through our faith, God speaks to them. Let's be challenged to evaluate the mission of today. What has God planned for us today? How can God use you and me as we go about the day? Lord, I pray for your guidance this day as we seek to be loving, joyful, and gentle with our co-workers, neighbors, family, and strangers. Prepare our way, O Lord. Help us to be open to the mission at hand that we may reach our world with your glory and with your plan of salvation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
