Brannon Howse: Aired April 17, 2013

Worldview Weekend show

Summary: Topic: UN Chief hails Pope Francis as a global spiritual leader. Topic: George Beverly Shea dies at 104. Topic: Jay Bakker, son of Jim Bakker to start Emergent Church in Minneapolis. Topic: Brennan Manning, former Franciscan Priest, author of The Ragamuffin Gospel dies at 78. Brennan promoted mysticism as well as undermined the authority of the Word of God, thus why has he been praised by people like Beth Moore? For a few years Brannon Howse has been saying that he believes that Jesuits or those that are Jesuit trained have infiltrated evangelical denominations and increased the acceptance of mysticism. One report claims that Brennan Manning would spend eight days a year at a Jesuit retreat. Since ManningÂ’'s worldview has been promoted by so many well-known evangelical speakers, authors, and leaders could this be just some of the proof that evangelicalism has indeed been pushed toward mysticism by the influence of Jesuits and those that are Jesuit trained?
