Ep. 194: Hope and Change for the *burp* Future of Gaming!

The Most Popular Girls on the Internet show

Summary: Hello Internet Traveler! We are back with adventures in celebrating Jameson Day! Oh, you've never heard of Jameson Day?  Well, that's because we just made it up. This week, we created cocktails with ingredients which, probably should not be placed into the same glass together, and which have some rather interesting reactions to one another. It is a strange ride this episode.  Songs were sung, beer was spilled, and Ice Station C became one of the loudest  places on earth.. That almost sounds like a premise to a reality television series where the most self-deprecating parts get played back on TMZ. Meanwhile.. Cassandra continues with Devil May Cry, finding a new level and a new death count.  Tara delves even more into GW2 world versus world or, "wuv-wuh". The break this week comes from a remix of  all of the "Uhhs" that I took out of the show (Uhhs and Umms provided by the both of us, due to the drinking of said Jameson),  along to Tipsy's Sweet Spot. After the break, The Efts have shared a new song to honor Shannon's parents 40th Anniversary. This song speaks to the love and tenderness that a team of two endure to be matched equally together, through the decades.  Our kindest wishes are with them.   We are also very excited because The Efts have their 5th album out,- we hope they will keep on making music together forever, and that you will enjoy their music as much as we do. Our discussion this week, is: A poem read at the GDC, and how one Microsoft Narrative Designer says that women are the "New Core" of gamers and are the new focus of Microsoft- we cannot help but smile and at the same time, wonder what such statements mean for those of us who just think of ourselves as gamers. Also, a new non-shooty, non-killie game is on the horizon, Gone Home  has our interest. Last but not least, your emails. Thank you for listening!
