Guild Wars Reporter Episode 8 – Please Forgive Me Europe

Guild Wars Reporter show

Summary: Chris and Celeste try to figure out where on the line of sanity they sit this week. We're barrelling through the news about Engineer's tool belts, pets, and combos. We also have a great listener letter and a very scary story. We also discuss the viability of insulting an entire continent while still being in the single digits of episode numbers. What we did this week Celeste: The plague is still raging, so nothing really. Chris: Mesmer - It’s awesome. Let me give you a quick look into my situation, like Chris, I'm an altoholic. Always have been, always will be. Have played a few mmo's in semi-good mode, never been hardcore/pro, but I've gotten out of the "noob zone" in most games. Now I've started in Guild Wars. Well thats a whole new story to tell. I started out with a warrior (cause thats what everyone suggests) but I didn't really like that. Followed with a Dervish, I liked it alot, but didn't seem to get good with it. You may want to give Dervish another try, the Embark Beach update completely revamped it, so if it's been more than 8ish months, give it a go! Then I tried out a Ranger, just not what I'm looking for. Now this story goes on with almost every profession (except for monk, ele, mesmer and necro). Are you not a caster type or they didn't appeal? Mesmer can be quite rewarding if you're pragmatic enough. Elementalist is always fun if you're a bit of a pyromaniac. Necromancers have a wide variety of skills, you could hex, minion master, blood support, or even heal. The furthest I got is on my ritualist, who is around halfways in factions. Ritualist can get a little slow when you're levelling it, but after you hit 20 and you've got a majority of the skills, there's pretty much nothing to hold you back. If you get bored of running something like an SoS Spammer, you could minion master or heal. For SoS to work efficiently you've got to donate to Kurzick or Luxon to get summon spirits skill. Now to come to the point of this email, What profession do you two enjoy the most? And what profession should be fairly easy to get a fair hall of monuments with? Cause I started GW because I want to have this extra edge when GW 2 comes out (don't we all?). I didn't mean for these questions to get into Ask An Asuran, but if you lack any better ones, ofcourse feel free to use mine, I'd be honored if I got mentioned in your podcast :D Best of sunny greetings from Belgium,  Matt Tales of Tyria Weekend Event: Double XP for elite captures and double green item drop rate Gwen tribute machinima http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RsdpV-o25U http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/11/07/flameseeker-chronicles-c-c-c-combo-maker/ Thursday November 10 9pm EDT Massively Overpowered [MVOP] will start on WiK Request for community events of the week/bi-week.
