The Wild Feathers are a truly American band: their music takes elements of the best of rock, country, folk and blues music and reshapes it in a way that is both unique and modern. Bill Carter and The Blame has been a pillar of the Austin music scene for nearly three decades, helping shape the city’s rich musical history along with songwriting partner Ruth Ellsworth.Carter and Ellsworth received the BMI “Million Airs” Award for over 2 million airplays of their Stevie Ray Vaughan mega hit “Crossfire.” In March of 2000, the track won the “Decade Award for Best Song” at the Austin Music Awards.In August of 2012. Carter will be featured in the upcoming documentary film, "That's What I'm Doing Here" (Matt McCormack), also showcasing legendary storytellers Alejandro Escovedo and Charlie Sexton. Carter's new album, ‘Unknown’ will be released on January 15th (Unison Music), with a tour of the US and Europe to follow.
