Summary: Many years ago there was a show called Truth or Consequences. It started on the radio in 1940 and began airing on television in 1950s…running for almost fifty years. One of the young hosts was a man named Bob Barker. At the end of the show Barker would look directly in the camera and say “Here’s hoping all your consequences are happy ones!” Hello and welcome to Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, South Carolina where for decades the Truth of God’s Word has been preached for all to hear. On the TV show, if a contestant didn’t answer a trivia question within two seconds, they would have to suffer the consequences. Everything we do, in our life, has consequences. In Romans 6:12, the scripture says to us “Do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.” Christ died for us so that we could live for Him. His gift of grace has consequences. His gift of salvation through grace makes all things new. That will definitely make your consequences happy.
