Plane Talk show

Summary: The proposed FAA rule would require first officers - also known as co-pilots - to hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, requiring 1,500 hours of pilot flight time. Is a simple time requirement going to create a safer pilot? ... Or most potential airline pilots would be priced out of the industry altogether with no apparent safety benefit? We are talking to Jason Blair, Executive Director at NAFI, whether safety is about experience, training or just flight time logged? We are interviewing Rich Stowell - Master CFI - Aerobatics, the 2006 National Flight Instructor of the Year and Charter Member of SAFE - Would flight up-set and spin training improve pilot safety and should it be included in any basic training? This and more - DON'T MISS IT!
