99: Lawn Lake and Lost Lake Lollipop

Rock and Trail Tales show

Summary: Two local walks this episode: first comes an afternoon jaunt 12.5 miles to Lawn Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. A roaring Roaring River marks the course 2,300 feet uphill on a beautiful, sunny afternoon to a gorgeous alpine lake that was the source of one of the worst flash floods in the Front Range in the 20th century. Then a favorite easy walk up to Lost Lake and back to the Hessie trailhead via a beautiful, wildflower filled meadow.
