Summary: As Black History is upon us, we reflect on the Black Experience. Our reflections encourage us to ponder on the feat in which the culture and it's people have achieved, yet it also urges us to question just exactly how far have we actually gotten in the first place. It is no doubt that we are in a better place than say 40 years ago, but it definitely does not mean that our work is done. The unfortunate thing is that we may have been programmed for so long to blame our short comings on outside sources that we have passed that attitude on to our children which can unfortunately breed a society that does not take responsonsibility for its own failures.
